There are no enemies in the Research Center, unlike the first game, and you can quickly explore it for some treasure. Start by taking the stairs up and checking Laboratory 08 for Nanaly to gain Nanaly’s Collar and then check Laboratory 06 for a Mysterious Bead up the ladder.

Take the stairs back down and head north and enter Sector 3 to the west. Once again there isn’t much on the main floor, but if you take the stairs up you can get an Obsidian in Laboratory 12.
