When you reach the castle and talk to the guards you’ll have to make a decisions, the first will allow you to skip a majority of the infiltration while the second will have you take the long route. While forcing your way in is shorter, you miss out on some of the story and treasures.

I am going to cover the long route, but if you choose to force you way in scroll to the part the begins within the castle. If you are going to take the long route, backtrack to the Main Road and exit to the southwest, to Xailen Woods Temple.
