With the true identity of The Naginata finally revealed, you opt to try a more subdued approach to getting to Akechi Kagemitsu in Sakamoto Castle. This will involve you hunting down the other duelist, the former daimyo of Omi, Shotei, who ran away when he got ambushed. One of the few clues you have is he fled east from Seta Bridge, which you will be on after completing the previous mission, An Evening in Otsu.
(1 of 2) You will be able to talk to/eavesdrop on specific people while tracking down Shotei.

Track Down Shotei¶
Shotei shouldn’t be too difficult to track, since the game does a pretty good job of leading you to him. The in-game clues only say he’s in Omi, is in central Shimmering Fields, and fled east from the Seta Bridge. So, after completing the last mission, summon your horse and begin moving east. Along the way, you will encounter people who you can talk to for more information on where Shotei went. Just keep going east-northeast, looking out for these people, as that means you’re on the right track. When you reach some kids playing next to a small wooden bridge, you’ve pretty much are there.
Cross that wooden bridge and straight ahead will be a small, bamboo arch. This path will take you right up to the village of Koga, so go all the way to the very top of the hill to find a building. Using Observe will show you a blue dot inside, who just happens to be Shotei. Go inside and approach him for a cutscene, which will lead to some unexpected guests appearing outside. You can choose your character here, which determines if you are going to do a normal battle (Yasuke) or sneak around and try to assassinate everyone (Naoe). Naturally, Yasuke will have a much simpler time, so let’s go with that option.
(1 of 4) It’s no surprise that the leader of the Koga will lead you to Koga village.
Most of the enemies should be pretty easy, although there are some ranged foes among them, so go after them first. Try to concentrate on killing one at a time, if you can, as it can be easy to get overwhelmed. One thing to be wary of is the commander-type enemy, with the fan, since they drop explosives on the ground and can also summon more enemies. With the coast finally clear, return to Shotei, answering whatever you want for the choice.
As you set to leave, Shotei quickly chimes in and says there is one person who can help. His daughter, Katsuhime, has scouted Sakamoto before, and you can find her at Enryakuji, on Mount Hiei.
How to Find Katsuhime¶
You already know the exact location of Katsuhime, as her father said she’s at Enryakuji Temple, on Mount Hiei. You will find the Mount Hiei sub-region to the northwest of Sakamoto, which is north of Mouth of Seta. You should have the kakurega unlocked in Otsu, so purchase it to enable fast travel, then start travelling up the coast to Sakamoto. Look at the map once you’re there to find the road leading west, which should bring you right to Enryakuji Temple (it’s the ? mark on the map screenshot below).
Enryakuji is split into different tiers and although the place is a restricted area, there aren’t really many enemies here at this time. If you’re using Naoe, then make sure you keep watch with your Eagle Vision, just to make sure. In the middle area, there is an enemy Shinobi hiding in some bushes, so be wary of that and kill them, if needed. Your goal here is to go all the way to the very top of the temple grounds, where you’ll find four enemies being pelted with shots from Katsuhime on a nearby rooftop.
(1 of 4) Katsuhime can be found at Enryakuji Temple in the Mount Hiei sub-region.
It seems that once you attack someone, the rest of the enemies here will immediately come after you, no matter if you do it in the shadows or not. There is one heavy-tier enemy here, so you should leave him for last, but the rest aren’t going to give you any trouble. To make things even better, Katsuhime will be shooting and stunning enemies with her weapon, so you might be able to be a little more aggressive, but you should still be careful. Once you defeat all of the enemies, you will have a short conversation with Katsuhime and the quest will be over.
