The herbivores of Monster Hunter are on the whole very docile creatures, particularly the Aptonoth. Some, like Rhenoplos, are fearlessly aggressive, preferring to pre-emptively charge at any hunter in sight. All herbivores sit towards the bottom of the food chain, serving as food for larger monsters when they become exhausted.
