In-game Description
The Goddess Statue of the
Spring of Wisdom is troubled by her inability to sense the Mother
Goddess Statue in the vast canyon.
She asked you to check on the statue and return with your findings.
Description
The beginning of this quest depends on whether you’ve examined the giant Goddess Statue at the
Forgotten Temple or not.
If you haven’t, make your way towards the end of the Forgotten Temple, at the north end of
Tanagar Canyon. Your destination is near the
Mayausiy Shrine. North of the shrine, there’s a massive, collapsed
Goddess Statue. Get close to its head and examine it.
After you’ve examined the big statue, return to the Spring of Wisdom to report your findings.
Otherwise, if you’ve already examined the big statue (either through sheer curiosity or from the other Goddess Statue quests), you’ll skip straight to the next part.
Next, you need to obtain and place Naydra’s Claw in the water in front of the statue.
This item can be obtained from Naydra who flies around the Lanayru and Necluda regions, as well as the Depths. Please click on the
Naydra link for its key locations. The easiest way is probably to camp near the
Naydra Snowfield Chasm, where it emerges.
Once you’ve spotted Naydra, carefully shoot an arrow at its fore or hind claws. Depending on where you encounter it, it can be very high up. So you may need to create a flying machine to fly up. Once you’re reasonably close, there are rising air currents around
Naydra so you can glide around it.
Beware of the freezing temperature near Naydra and equip yourself accordingly.
After offering Naydra’s Claw, you will receive a
Sapphire and this quest will end.
If you also completed Goddess Statue of Courage and
Goddess Statue of Power, you’ll receive a new quest:
The Mother Goddess Statue.
