This is the trophy/achievement that you receive upon unlocking all of the other trophies/achievements. Dragon Quest XI is definitely a longer game than usual, and it’ll probably take you upwards of 120+ hours to finish everything the game has to offer.

There are some pieces of equipment that can alter the appearance of your characters. You will need to find all of these items in order to unlock this trophy/achievement. Nothing is missable, but there are some differences between the two versions of the game, as the Definitive Edition has a lot more costumes. You’ll know you’ve found all of the specific equipment whenever you unlock the corresponding Accolade.

This trophy/achievement is only in the original version of the game, and not in the Definitive Edition. In the game, there are cows that speak to you that can tell the weather in that region. This can be extremely useful in some cases, as there are certain enemies that only spawn under specific conditions, like during the rain.

Puff-Puff is a tradition in Dragon Quest games and isn’t exactly hard to imagine what goes on in these little scenes. In order to unlock the trophy/achievement, you will need to experience every Puff-Puff scene in the game, of which there are eight in total. Note that none of them are missable, although the one in Octagonia changes between the different parts of the game.

This trophy/achievement is only in the original version of the game and not in the Definitive Edition. In the Gallopolis section, you will receive a crossbow, which you can use to strike enemies to make them come towards you. However, there is a lengthy sidequest that involves hitting hidden targets in multiple areas of the game. Each of those areas tends to have five targets, after which, you can report to a specific NPC to get a reward. The Wheel of Harma is a side thing that unlocks in Angri-La as you progress through the main story. It consists of five sets of battles, in which you will need to fight a series of battles. The challenging thing about the Wheel of Harma is that you have to pick and choose which characters participate in each round, so you don’t have your full four-persons party for each battle. Also, each of the trials will reward you if you finish the entire thing in under a set number of actions, although you don’t need to do that for this trophy/achievement. However, it’s a good idea to do all of those, as some of the rewards are recipes that are needed for Dedicated Follower of Fashion.

It is best to wait until you’re near the end of the game to do all of the trials here, since the last two can be quite challenging. It also helps to be level 99 with all of your party members before tackling them, although it isn’t needed for some of the earlier ones. Note that in the Definitive Edition, there is a Secret Trial available, but that isn’t needed at all for this. You will unlock the trophy/achievement after completing the Final Trial.

There are two casinos in the game, one at Puerto Valor and another at Octagonia. The only difference between them is that Octagonia has roulette and Puerto Valor has poker, while they share the same types of slots. To unlock this trophy/achievement, you will need to get 10 accolades related to the casinos. Since there is a quest to get a jackpot at the casino, that should take care of four of the accolades, with the roulette being the easiest way at getting a jackpot (3 for tokens and 1 for roulette). For the others, you can simply get the ones pertaining to playing the other games. You can auto-play 100 spins per session at the Slime Quest slots and it’s possible you might get some of the other accolades from that. You should also be able to get three from just playing the normal slots.

This is another trophy/achievement that is only in the original version of the game, and not the Definitive Edition. As you complete the Drustan Trials, you will be able to make a wish. One of the wishes is to marry Gemma, so pick it and head back to Cobblestone. You can find Gemma at your house, so speak with her there, then go to bed, with the trophy/achievement popping upon waking up.

One of the recipes in the game that you can unlock will allow you to create something called the Supreme Sword of Light. In order to get this recipe, you will need to do the Drustan Trials and defeat a boss at the end. Once you do, you will be granted a wish and one of those will allow you to get the recipe for the sword. If you’re looking to forge it, you will need to do a few things, so visit the Supreme Sword of Light page to find out more information.

Story-related trophy/achievement. Upon unlocking Master of the Skies, you can go on to confront the true final boss of the game. Defeat the final boss and this will unlock after the credits.

One of the mainstays in the Dragon Quest series is Mini Medals, which are tiny little collectibles that you can find and trade in for goodies. Unlike most of the other games, though, the Mini Medals you turn in are turned into stamps. There are four pages of stamps, totalling 110 medals you can hand in for rewards. You only need to complete the third page of the stamp album, which totals to 75 Mini Medals. Head to the Mini Medal section to find out their locations, as well as locations where you can actually farm them infinitely.

As you explore the game’s world and its many towns, you will come across people who need your help with something. These NPCs will have a purple bubble over their head, indicating they have a quest for you. There are 60 of these side quests in the game, and you only need to complete 40 of them to get this trophy/achievement. None of them are missable, so you can go back to do them at anytime. If you wish to see all of them, go to the Quest section of the guide.

Every time you collect a new item, whether it’s normal, a material, a piece of equipment, a key item or even a recipe, it is recorded in the game’s encyclopedia function. You can access this by going to Misc, then Info, where you can see how many items you have obtained during the course of the game. To earn this trophy/achievement, you will need to have registered 500 different items. It doesn’t matter if you sell or get rid of items, as the game keeps track via the in-game encyclopedia feature. You should get this naturally, especially if you’re going for another trophy/achievement, like Dedicated Follower of Fashion.

Story-related trophy/achievement. The final part of the game, once you defeat a familiar boss, will task you with finding three Yggdrasil seedlings. These will be marked on your world map, so they aren’t too difficult to find. Once you hunt them down and learn what’s necessary, follow the story bits until you have to speak with a certain spirit at top of a tower. Some scenes will follow this and the trophy/achievement will unlock.

Story-related trophy/achievement. During the final part of the game, you will face a familiar foe. Defeat this boss and you will unlock this.

This trophy/achievement is only in the original version of the game and not in the Definitive Edition. At some point in the game, you will acquire a ship, although you are restricted to the inner sea at that point. Not long after that, you will gain access to the outer seas, which means you will be able to explore a lot of the world. Throughout said world are small islands that you can make port at, with there being seven in total. At the point where you have access to the outer seas, you can land on six of the seven islands, with the last one requiring the Lorelei’s Harp key item. The islands are as follows:

• Insula Australis
• Insula Incognita
• Insula Borealis
• Insula Occidentalis
• Insula Orientalis
• Insula Algarum
• Insula Centralis (requires Lorelei’s Harp)

Story-related trophy/achievement. The final part of the game starts after finishing the Fortress of Fear and loading up the save when you get the opportunity to make one. This trophy will unlock after completing the first event in the final part.

Not too long into the game, you are introduced to the concept of monsters that you can mount after defeating them in battle. These mountable monsters will be sparkling in the field, so you will know when you see one. Some of these mounts offer special abilities that enhance your exploration of the surrounding areas, usually allowing you to grab some extra treasures. In the original version of the game, you needed to mount all of the monsters that were available in the game. This didn’t count the variations, so it had to be the different species. There were only six different species in the original game, which are as follows:

• Eggsoskeleton - Kingsbarrow
• Skull Rider’s Steed - Cryptic Crypt
• Horknight’s Hornet - Laguna di Gondolia
• Face Invader - Snaerfelt
• Dragon Rider’s Dragon - Mount Pang Lai
• Headless Norseman - Snaerfelt (post-game)

In the Definitive Edition of the game, the trophy/achievement changes to only making you mount six different species, instead of all of them. This version also added new mountable monsters, so it’s possible to unlock it much earlier in the game. If you fully explore every region you come across in the game, you should be able to unlock it once you mount an Iron Maiden in the second portion of the game (in Costa Valor).

Forging is a key part of the game, but you can do more than just create new pieces of equipment from scratch via materials. You can actually rework existing pieces of equipment to improve their quality, but these require Perfectionist Pearls. You can obtain these via crafting new items, but you will also be able to purchase them once you reach the Medal Academy, where they cost 100G each. The minigame is the exact same, so there is nothing new there, but you are able to get a piece of equipment from +1 to +3 via reworking. As long as you don’t fail, you will make progress towards this trophy/achievement, with it unlocking once you’ve successfully reworked 10 items.

Story-related trophy/achievement. One of the tasks in the middle part of the game is to forge the Sword of Light. You will unlock this once you complete that task.

Story-related trophy/achievement. During the course of the middle part of the game, you will need to venture to Sniflheim, but the way is blocked. In order to get there, you will have to use one of the Vortex of Light, but a boss will be blocking the way. Defeat the boss and you will unlock this.

Story-related trophy/achievement. In the middle part of the game, you will head to Octagonia. When you’re there, complete the events in the city to unlock this.

Story-related trophy/achievement. While going through the Dundrasil Region in the middle part of the game, you can head to the castle and do a little event there. Complete this event to earn this trophy/achievement.

Story-related trophy/achievement. This one will unlock once you meet up with a certain fabulous friend in the Champs Sauvage region in the middle part of the game.

Story-related trophy/achievement. You will receive this upon finishing the events at Angri-La in the middle portion of the game, which happens right after a boss fight there.

Story-related trophy/achievement. Once you reach the second part of the game, the first area you will actually go to is called The Last Bastion. Upon finishing all of the events in that area, you will unlock this.

Story-related trophy/achievement. This will unlock at the beginning of the middle part of the game, once you finish with the events in Nautica. Once you regain control on land, the trophy/achievement will pop.

Story-related trophy/achievement. This one will unlock upon completing the first part of the game, where you head to Yggdrasil.

Another story-related trophy/achievement. You will unlock this upon completing all of the events in Sniflheim in the first part of the game.

Another story-related trophy/achievement. This one will unlock upon completing the events at Phnom Nonh in the first part of the game.

You will need to defeat 1,000 enemies in battle in order to get this trophy/achievement. Note that it means 1,000 enemies total and not that many battles itself. Since you will regularly encounter more than one enemy during the normal battles, this will undoubtedly unlock as you naturally progress during the main story.

One of the mechanics for battles in Dragon Quest XI is Pep. A character can enter a pep state during battles (seemingly at random, as there is no indication they will), which increases some stats and makes them stronger. It only lasts a few turns, though, with pep being removed. As you learn abilities on the skill trees, you will gain access to something called Pep Powers. These can range from attacks, as well as buffs, and can be trigger when only a single character is pepped up or multiple characters are. In order to unlock this, you simply need to use Pep Powers 25 times. It doesn’t matter if you use the same ones over and over, as it will still count.

This is a story-related trophy/achievement and will unlock as you naturally progress through the game. Once you get the Green Orb in Nautica and view the scene after it, the trophy/achievement will unlock.

After the events at Dundrasil, you will have to go to Puerto Valor. Once you do the little bit of story there, you will be able to access the outer seas. The trophy/achievement will unlock upon passing through the gates.

Upon reaching Octagonia, you will be forced to participate in a MMA tournament. Following the tournament, you will have to go through a dungeon, then return to Octagonia and do one more thing. The trophy/achievement will unlock after completing all of the above events.

The Fun-Sized Forge one of the means in getting new equipment, as you can find recipes across Erdrea in order to create those items. Recipes can be found via red books on bookshelves, in chests, and even as rewards from quests. In the original version of the game, you can only access the Forge at campsites, while you have access to it anywhere in the Definitive Edition. Each item you attempt to craft will require materials, with the Definitive Edition allowing you to purchase some materials straight from the forging screen. To get this, you need to forge any ten items, so once you get enough recipes, craft the ten different items to get the trophy/achievement. It doesn’t seem like it matters if you fail or not, as the item is still crafted in the end.

This trophy/achievement will unlock upon completing all of the events at Gondolia. This includes a dungeon and more events upon returning to Gondolia after the dungeon.

One of the things you can do in Dragon Quest XI is go into the menu while out in the field and press the Square/Y (Switch)/X (Xbox) button to heal your party. To get this trophy/achievement, you need to do the above whenever your party has full HP. Note that this can be done as soon as Erik joins your party.

During the story events at Gallopolis, you will need to do some racing with a horse. It doesn’t matter if you win this mandatory race or not, as the game will still progress. The trophy/achievement will unlock after the scenes following the race.

The Fun-Sized Forge will allow you to craft new pieces of equipment, once you find recipes for them, as well as allow you to rework items to improve their quality. Your goal is to reach the designated area, or to hit the little notch present. Almost every piece of equipment can be improved to +3, which is the maximum, and you can do this when you initially forge an item. However, you can also rework an item and steadily increase its quality to +3 by doing it one level at a time. Reworking costs Perfectionist Pearls, which you get for successfully crafting something from scratch, although you can also buy them.

This will unlock when you finish the events during the first portion of the game at Hotto, which also includes the Cryptic Crypt.

Upon finishing the Kingsbarrow dungeon, you will have to head to the Door of Departure. There will be some scenes upon doing this, which is when this will unlock.

You will unlock this upon defeating the boss in the Manglegrove.

A pre-emptive attack is when you attack an enemy on the field with your weapon to initiate an actual battle. You’ll know you’ve done this when damage numbers pop up on your screen. You will unlock this upon doing this a total of 30 times, which will highly likely unlock naturally, as you will always be trying to do this. This trophy/achievement is not present in the Definitive Edition of the game.

You will be forced to go through the Heliodor Sewers, where there will be an instance upon which you have to escape. Once you do escape, there will be a few scenes and then this will unlock.

Heliodor will be the first big city you will visit in the game. Your task is to speak with the king and upon doing so, watch the cutscenes after to unlock this.

This is a story-related trophy and will unlock upon defeating the boss at the top of Cobblestone Tor and watching the cutscenes after that.
